5 suppliers of business card scanners
There are numerous providers of business card scanners. However, the scanner apps sometimes differ significantly in their range of functions and price.
snapADDY
snapADDY is a lead generation software that takes contacts from websites or email signatures and digitizes business cards by scanning them. To do this, either the QR code of the business card can be scanned or a photo of the card can be taken. Errors made when entering data can be corrected directly. The contact data can be exported to the address book as well as to Excel or a CRM system. The light version is free, but limited to 25 scans per day.
CamCard
The CamCard app reads contact data from photographed business cards that are already stored in the photo album or are taken in the app. Unfortunately, there is no integrated reader for reading QR codes. In addition, the app sometimes takes a while to read the data. The read data can either be saved in the address book or, in the premium version, in Excel or Salesforce.
Business Card Reader (ABBY)
The Business Card Reader from ABBY digitizes photos of business cards. The fact that the photos have to be manually cropped to fit the outline of the business card is somewhat time-consuming. Only ten scans are included in the Lite version. Export is only possible to the contact book or Excel. Unfortunately, there is no connection to CRM systems.
BizConnect
BizConnect enables the scanning of contact information on business cards via photo or QR code. When scanning, the date and location are automatically saved, making it easier for you to assign where the contact took place later. In the Enterprise version of the app, multiple team members can access the contacts. Export interfaces are available for Excel, certain CRM systems, Outlook, PDF and Zapier. However, the export function is limited to 50 scans per day in the free version.
WorldCard
The Lite version of the WorldCard app can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple and Play Store. However, the scanned data can only be saved in the address book of the smartphone or in the Google address book. Unfortunately, it is not possible to export data to Excel or CRM systems. This function is also not included in the paid version.
