Our Founders Associate: Tom

Welcome to this #teamtuesday!

Today, we are excited to introduce our newest team member, Tom. Tom works closely with our team as a Founders Associate, especially with Darius and Lucas. His passion for direct customer contact and his interest in gaining insights into all areas of our startup make him a valuable addition to our team.

🌟 What does Tom do at Spreadly?

In his role as a Founders Associate, Tom primarily supports the "Sales" department. He is involved in communicating with our customers, optimizing customer accounts, and participating in sales calls. However, Tom's commitment extends far beyond the sales area. His goal is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the startup world to eventually venture into entrepreneurship himself.

🌞How can Tom be best described?

Tom brings a lot of positivity to the team with his always cheerful demeanor, open and communicative nature. He loves making contact with people, which makes him the ideal man for the sales area. His combination of ambition, commitment, and willingness to help not only makes him a valuable team member but also an inspiration to everyone around him.

🛤 Tom's story and his path to Spreadly

Born and raised in a small village between Bielefeld and Osnabrück, Tom moved to Bielefeld for his high school diploma and eventually to Münster for his business studies.

A gap year after high school took Tom around the world, from Bali through Thailand, the USA, and France to Canada, mostly with a backpack and accompanied by friends or on solo adventures.

When Tom is not studying or working, his leisure time is marked by his passions for travel 🌍, sports 🏋️‍♂️, motorcycling 🏍, and music 🎶. He loves discovering new cultures and meeting people, which often leads him on travels. At home, he keeps fit with regular visits to the gym, plays tennis 🎾, and goes on motorcycle tours, preferably with friends. Music is another important part of his life; growing up in a musical family, he plays piano 🎹 and guitar 🎸. Tom finds relaxation by grilling in the park or at home with friends over a cool beer 🍻.

Tom found his way to Spreadly through a fellow student who had originally targeted an internship with us but then opened the opportunity for Tom.

A little #funfact: Tom was able to finance all the trips he made during his gap year through financial trading on the stock market.🤯💸
